The construction boom of large-scale hospitals in China has basically come to an end. The operation of health care facilities, especially the operation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, has been put on the agenda. How to operate in compliance with the requirements of a medical controlled environment, reduce infections, and protect patients and medical staff, etc., are the issues that attract attention. ASHRAE/ASHE Guideline 43-2025Operationguidelineforventilationofhealthcarefacilitiesprovides us with inspiration. The proposed ventilation management plan, the scheme for basic inspections and maintenance tasks, and the optimized operation and maintenance procedures are very beneficial, providing a consistent and compliant baseline for the operation of HVAC facilities.
